There's Still More to Do!
Britepaths is so grateful to everyone who donated to help us provide school supply kits to 2,500 Fairfax County Public Schools students in need! Pivoting to Address the "Digital Divide": WATCH the Great Day Washington story; READ the Connection article
With students in our area attending school virtually this fall, we know that lack of internet access may be a major barrier for the families we serve. So we have decided to expand our Back to School drive to try to ease the "digital divide" for as many families as we can. Learn More
Britepaths is seeking our community's support to offer qualifying families Digital Access grants of up to $500 per household, which will be paid directly to their local service provider. The grants will cover six months of internet service so students can be connected for distance learning.
We are grateful to Highlight Technologies for helping us kick off our Digital Access drive with a grant of $5,000!
Can You Help Kids Bridge the Divide? Any amount you can donate will help.
Checks Welcome! Mail to Britepaths, 3959 Pender Dr., Suite 200, Fairfax, VA 22030. Please note "BTS" in the memo line.
Sponsors Welcome! If your company, or an organization you know of, is able, we hope you’ll consider providing a dedicated "Digital Access" sponsorship. This would be an opportunity to highlight your company's support, while bringing more public awareness to the real effects of the digital divide in our community.

About Our Program
Did You Know? More than 30% of all children in Fairfax County Public Schools are eligible to receive free or reduced-price meals. Each year, thousands of Fairfax County students face various challenges that no child in our country should have to face. Food insecurity, lack of resources for school supplies, and limited access to appropriate school clothing are some of the very real issues that distract students from meeting their highest academic potential.
During this time of national and global crises, families and children in our area who struggle under normal times are needing our help more than ever.
As we have done for many years, Britepaths participated once again in the Collect for Kids partnership, which includes Fairfax County Public Schools, the Fairfax County Office of Public and Private Partnerships, and numerous community-based organizations and businesses in the Fairfax County area who are working together to provide supplies in a more cost-effective and efficient way.
Your donations this summer helped us purchase supply kits at a huge discount with the collective spending power of the partnership to be distributed to 2,500 students in need at our FCPS Partner Schools listed below. Thank you!
Having accomplished this huge goal, we have decided as an organization to stretch ourselves further to do what we can to provide Digital Access grants to as many qualified Fairfax County area families as possible. Social Workers at Fairfax County's Coordinated Services Planning will refer famiies in need to Britepaths, and we will pay up to $500 directly to their service providers to cover six months of internet access to help students participate in distance learning.
Britepaths is so grateful to our community for helping students in need be Ready to Learn!
