About the Holiday Program

A Season of Giving: Click Here to see how community members helped our families in 2019.

The holidays are a time for sharing, and there is no better way to celebrate than by giving hope and help to children and their families who may otherwise go without a festive meal or a gift. Please consider sponsoring a Fairfax County-area family in need for the holidays.

This is Britepaths' 21st year of ensuring that struggling families in our community are able to share in the holiday cheer that is all around us. Our Holiday Program traditionally matches individuals and families in need with donors who provide Thanksgiving and December holiday meals, as well as gifts for the children in the family. We are still assessing how we will assist families in 2020.

The families we serve have demonstrated need and are referred to the program by Fairfax County social services agencies. Many of the parents work multiple jobs to make ends meet. Others are searching for work after being laid off or cannot work because of illness or injury or some other crisis.

When you help a family, you will feel the true spirit of the season. Participating in the Holiday Program is a wonderful group or family service project. And it’s a great way to give back to the community, because your help goes to families in crisis who live very near you.
